My Dearest Friends,

"You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is so precious to God." ~1 Peter 3:4

YOU are already beautiful. Your joy, your fortitude, your kindness, your elegance are all small pieces of the beauty that is already you. The kind of beauty that is seen in your smile, your laugh, your thoughtful words to others, your gentle way of loving-- is timeless and unfading. Makeup can not make your beauty more beautiful than it already is. Makeup simply enhances that beauty.

bespoken (bəˈspōkən) verb

"To Testify to..."

Beauty Bespoken was founded upon 1 Peter 3:4 which is evidence of how our beauty is valued and defined.

It is a struggle for me to feel beautiful somedays. There have been mornings when I've been getting ready, staring at myself in the mirror, the criticisms flooding in which say that I am an 'almost kind of beautiful.' I've put my makeup on and felt a little more beautiful for the moment. But the next morning arrives and the same criticisms stare right back in the bathroom mirror saying the same things.

The struggle to believe the truth that who I am and not what I look like defines my beauty happens to everyone. I know that this has been you too.

Getting makeup done has temporary way of repairing those harmful thoughts. But the makeup will come off and you are still the same you from that morning. And that means you are STILL beautiful. You are still and always enough. Because Christ is more than enough to carry all of our insecurities and transform them into confidence.

Through the art of makeup, I seek to testify to your beauty. To bring forth your inspirational story and to bespeak of the absolute truth that you are precious and you are beautiful.

Most Sincerely,
